A facilities inspection team from the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) has arrived the University of Lagos (UNILAG), ahead of the body’s 2023 Biennial International Conference scheduled for UNILAG in November, 2023.
The contingent: Mrs Stella Amoa (ARUA Network Manager) and Mrs Ewuraba Addo (Project Coordinator, UKRI) paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, at her office on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. The Chairman of the ARUA International Conference Local Organising Committee (LOC), Professor Grace Otinwa led the team and other members of the committee to the meeting.
The team briefed the Vice-Chancellor about their mission to assess the preparedness of the University to host the forthcoming ARUA International Conference. They both expressed confidence in the ability of the University of Lagos to host a successful conference.
In response, the Vice-Chancellor welcomed and appreciated the kind words of the inspection team. She affirmed the readiness of University to host delegates at the conference, and to surpass expectations. Professor Ogunsola also sent her regards to the leadership of ARUA.
