UNILAG CONVOCATION – PAYMENTS TO BE MADE BY GRADUATING STUDENTS

In preparation for the 60th Anniversary Convocation of the University of Lagos, the school has released a list of payments to be made by all graduating students.

They will be listed below

UNILAG CONVOCATION – PAYMENTS TO BE MADE BY GRADUATING STUDENTS

Payment for ALL graduating students for the Convocation Ceremonies shall be as stated below:

• Mandatory Payment

PGD, Masters Degree, M.Phil.	Doctorate Degree
N25,000.00	N25,000.00

 

• Purchase/Hiring

The Graduation Gown, Hood & Cap shall be obtained at the following cost:

Academic Outfit	Outright Purchase	Hiring
Masters Degree, PGD, M.Phil.	N25,000.00	N10,000.00
Doctorate Degree	N45,000.00	N/A

The academic outfit will be available at the School of Postgraduate Studies.

• Return of Academic Outfit

The deadline for the return of all academic outfits shall be Thursday, February 16, 2023, while those who fail to return the outfit by Thursday, February 16, 2023, shall pay a penalty of N5,000.00 on the return of the gown.

• Collection of Certificates

All graduating students are expected to collect their certificates within three (3) months after Convocation.  Failure to collect will attract a demurrage of N50 per day.

Procedure for Payments

Graduating students are to make all payments by accessing the University website (www.unilag.edu.ng), and complete the form under the UNILAG payment portal (student category).   Thereafter, they are to proceed to any bank of their choice with the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) generated, for payment as appropriate.  Copies of a bank teller and payment advice bearing bank confirmation should be taken to the School of Postgraduate Studies. Invitation Cards for Graduating Students

Each graduating student shall be granted access to the J.F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium on a first-come, first-served basis. Convocation Brochures are to be collected at the School of Postgraduate Studies. Graduating students are enjoined to attend the Convocation Ceremonies punctually.

Also, certificates would be ready for collection immediately after each ceremony upon the presentation of all necessary clearance.

The Vice Chancellor congratulates all those convoking and wishes them a blissful ceremony.
