Early Career Academics Converge In UNILAG For TETFUND Train-The Trainer Step-Down Workshop

The University of Lagos hosted Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Train-the-Trainer Step-Down Workshop from Monday, May 15, 2023 to Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Academic Publishing Centre, UNILAG.

The 4-day workshop on “Research Proposal Writing and Grant Management”, provided an avenue for building of capacity in early career academics selected from several universities. The participants would in turn train their colleagues in their respective home universities on the knowledge acquired.

Participants were also trained on grants strategy, administration and management and the strategies for global ranking and competitiveness.

The facilitators which included: Prof. Olabisi Aina (Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) – lead facilitator; Prof. Aisha Maikudi, (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics & Research, University of Abuja);  Prof. Lawal Adebayo (Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife); and Dr. Demola Lewis (University of Ibadan) were academics who had benefitted from such TETFund programmes in the past.
