TOTAL ENERGIES DONATES GEOSCIENCE EQUIPMENT TO UNILAG
On Thursday, 15 November 2022, the Management of the University of Lagos took delivery of equipment for the Department of Geoscience- Well Ditch Cuttings and Mud Logs, from TotalEnergies.
The Deputy Director of TotalEnergies E & P Nigeria Limited, Mr. Victor Bamidele, said that this donation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 8 of the United Nations. He also said that this donation supports youth education and inclusion in Nigeria.
The equipment will help the students in the Department of Geosciences to appreciate and understand descriptions and will further aid the teaching of students, thereby making them more employable.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university, Academics, and Research, Professor Bola Oboh, received this on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor; she noted that this donation is in line with the theme for the UNILAG Diamond Anniversary, “Eyes of the Future.” She assured TotalEnergies E & P Nigeria Limited that the Well Ditch Cuttings and Mud Logs will optimize the training of students.
SDG4 is the education goal and SDG8 is for decent work and economic growth, and this donation is a step in the right direction.
